UPPER DARBY — Donovan St. Louis had a decision to make after the senior from Upper Darby qualified for PIAA Track & Field Championships in the Class AAA 200- and 400-meter dashes, as well as the 4 x 400-meter relay.
Does he run in all three events or cut one out so he can be strong in two races?
It wasn’t an easy choice. Being a competitor, St. Louis wanted to run in all three races. However, since the three races are among the last five events each day, and the 200 has a preliminary round Friday as well as semifinals and a final Saturday, which means he would run in seven events over two days if he made the final in each event, all in the latter portion of the meet, St. Louis decided to concentrate on the 400 and 4 x 400.
