The sophomore midfielder was named the Most Valuable Player of the Central League champion Pioneers girls lacrosse squad. A first team All-Central League selection, she has been an all-around performer this spring, with 33 goals, 15 assists, 76 draw controls, 15 ground balls and nine caused turnovers as of May 11.

Liz Scott’s top picks

Book: “Insurgent (Divergent Series), because I love future sci-fi novels. I am a BIG reader during the summertime.’

Author: “Malcolm Gladwell, he is so insightful and shows you how to perceive life in a different way.’

TV: Game of Thrones.

Movie: Pitch Perfect.

Pre-game pump-up song: Titanium, by David Guetta.

Athlete: “Serena Williams. I grew up with her as a strong, female sports figure. She has so much strength inside and out. She is so passionate about the game. She is so successful in what she does, and she worked hard to get to where she is today. She is an amazing inspiration and I am happy that I got to see her play all of those years.’

Person I most admire: “My oldest brother Ben. Ben has been such an amazing person to look up to. He and I are the same person, I have never connected with someone as much as I do with him. He is 25 and played baseball at Elon, and he has been an amazing person to talk to about lacrosse and everything. He is a great friend and an amazing person.’

Team: The Mighty Ducks (from the movie).

Place to visit: Our family’s lake house in Caratunk, Maine.
