Olivia Mancarella has been collecting advice.
It started when she was about 6 years old, the first time she started playing forward for her soccer team. In the decade since then, as she spent time at Springton Lake Middle School, years with West Chester United and competing with Penn Fusion, the Penncrest junior amassed a lot of knowledge. Exclusively playing up top her whole career, Mancarella takes little bits of advice from every coach she comes into contact with.
Tips such as making sure to stay with the last defender; learning to play the ball back instead of forcing it forward when triple-teamed; and knowing when you should or shouldn’t shoot.
