UPPER DARBY — The Central League is well-represented in the District One girls lacrosse tournament, which gets under way Tuesday. Tenth-seeded Haverford is one team from the Central League, which has long been the dominated girls lacrosse conference in the state, performing the role of darkhorse.
Last spring, the Fords defeated Souderton in the opening round before a season-ending loss to Harriton. Several key players from that 2014 team — seniors Jess Lyons and Mairead Janzer, and junior Tess Horan, to name a few — look to redeem themselves in 2015. Haverford has the pieces to make a deep run.
