HERSHEY — Missy Koscinski sat in the stands at Hersheypark Stadium Saturday and watched her sister, Michelle, and the Garnet Valley Jaguars take on Conestoga in the PIAA girls lacrosse championship game. Koscinski, who recently completed her junior season at Old Dominion University, helped GV to state titles an an 11th- and 12th-grader (2011-12).

“I was a defender,’ Koscinski said. “I never scored a goal.’

Michelle Koscinski tossed in one goal in the first half and two in the second half to help the Jaguars to a 14-10 victory Saturday as they earned their fourth state title in five seasons.

“I’ve been here in this atmosphere for a while,’ the younger Koscinski said. “I used to sit there watching my sister’s games and think that someday it could be me. I really owe a lot to my sister for helping me with lacrosse.”

Michelle Koscinski, a junior, is a midfielder, so she spends some time on attack and on defense every game. “It gets tiring, but my teammates help me out,’ she said.
