Diehl, a senior, set the Pennsylvania high school high jump record this season on April 15 with his leap of six feet, eight inches against Penncrest. He is also a standout basketball player for the Pioneers, averaging 14 points per game for the undefeated Central League regular-season champions, and receiving first team All-Central League and first team All-Main Line honors. He also was selected to play in the All-Star Labor Basketball Classic. Starting next fall, he will perform the high jump for Princeton University.
